Three African-American Entrepreneurs in Early Homestead
Lawrence McClain, Roman Logan and Mose Griffin were early African-American developers in the southwest section of Homestead. They were all mulattos who probably passed for being White and were thus allowed to purchase land and develop subdivisions that those who had darker skin were prohibited from doing.
